Community Guidelines

Also available in German.

KREISO works because people show up as themselves and treat each other well. These guidelines are part of our Terms of Service. Breaking them can cost you your place.

Be real

  • Use your real first name and a recent photo that shows your face.
  • One account per person. Don't pretend to be someone else.
  • You must be at least 16. Some events are 18+; this is shown on the event.

Be kind

  • Treat other members and venue staff the way you want to be treated.
  • No harassment, bullying, hate speech or discrimination, whether for origin, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or anything else.
  • No unwanted sexual attention. "No" is a complete sentence, online and in person.

Look out for each other

  • Meet sensibly: public places, your own way there and back, your own call on how much you share.
  • Never threaten or harm anyone. Violence, stalking and intimidation can get you removed immediately and reported to the authorities where the law requires.
  • If someone makes you or the group uncomfortable, tell us at support@kreiso.app.

There is usually no one from KREISO at a meetup, so look after yourselves and each other.

In the group chat

  • What is said in the group stays in the group. Don't publish, forward or screenshot other people's messages, photos or personal details.
  • Ask before you photograph anyone, and before you share a photo they are in.
  • Don't collect people's contact details for anything they didn't agree to.
  • Don't post where someone else lives or works.
  • Don't keep messaging someone who isn't answering.
  • Boris is our host in every group chat, not another member.

Show up

  • If you commit to a meetup, come, or cancel as early as you can so someone else can take the place.
  • Repeated no-shows can cost you future invitations.

Keep it non-commercial

  • No spam, promotions, recruiting or selling to other members.

Nothing illegal or harmful

  • No illegal drugs or weapons, and no trade in either.
  • No extremist content, no graphic violence and nothing sexual involving minors. Our child safety standard explains how to report it.
  • Nothing that breaks the law.

If you break these

We may warn you, remove content, restrict your account or remove you from KREISO. Anything touching safety can mean immediate removal. If we remove you from a paid event for breaking these guidelines, the ticket is not refunded.

Report or block

In the app, hold a message and choose Report, pick what is wrong and send it. You can block someone from their profile or by holding one of their messages: their messages and photos disappear for you, their profile closes, and we won't put you in a group with them again. Blocking doesn't remove either of you from an evening that is already confirmed.

Anywhere else, email support@kreiso.app and tell us what happened.

Our team reviews reports and can use automated tools, including AI. We never tell anyone who reported or blocked them, unless the law requires it.
